【 摘 要 】

This paper deals with the meta-ethical and normative assumptions for a new environmental ethics. Particularly, it tries to show that the realistic meta-ethics about intrinsic value underlying many of the writings of the so-called “deep ecology” is flawed. It presents, then, a different conceptual analysis of intrinsic value and sorts out its normative and practical implications for an ethics concerned with the environment.
