【 摘 要 】
In a school, the amount of time available for daily teaching depends on the time of arrival and departure of school buses. However, students are reluctant to use a service that lengthens travelling time between home and school. Based on an analysis of the territory, an educational approach was taken with a view to gaining a better understanding of the organisation of the school bus service. Using a GIS, school bus networks were modelled and compared with other data. The students’ initial perceptions changed and the problem viewed differently from different scales: school buses are not as efficient everywhere, so solutions should not be general, but need to be considered for smaller areas and combine different modes of transport.
