【 摘 要 】

This article argues, based mainly on the works of American economist Joseph E. Stiglitz, that globalization – understood as an accelerated growth of free flows of goods and services, capital and technology, people and knowledge across national boundaries – can be beneficial for all, if it produces sustainable economic growth that national governments can then redistribute in a fair way. In contrast, anti-globalization (or de-globalization), which promises physical and political (fiscal) protectionist walls, can be harmful to all, undermining economic growth and worsening the situation of the poor in both the West and the East.
