【 摘 要 】

The present global crisis is possibly helping European Social Democracy to find a different political path. The kernel of Social Democracy is not universalistic welfare state, but the ambition to represent working classes and part of the middle classes in order to reform the way capitalism uses the factors of production. Especially, the aim is the one of competing with neoliberal forces (something Social Democracies in the 90s had mostly stopped doing) in order to advocate for the idea that a low degree of workers’ exploitation and a high degree of innovative regulation will far better bring about steady and reliable growth. Essential to this type of growth is the dynamic role of wages, investments, and, as a consequence, high employment and welfare state. By virtue of all this, an analysis of the real fundamental elements of Scandinavian Social Democratic historical success, can be useful at this very time.
