【 摘 要 】

The Program of practical semiology activities often contributes to the academic performance of students and teachers. Students become allies of supervisors, who can develop better quality teaching. This program allows students to develop personally due to the commitment and responsibility required during practical activities. Through bibliographic reviews and the participation of academics in practical activities, it was possible to organize the information used here. Veterinary semiology is a mandatory subject in the curriculum in Veterinary Medicine courses, thus also being present in the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine at UNINASSAU-João Pessoa/PB and its objectives are to teach methods of animal containment (physical and chemical), clinical examination ( inspection and general and specific physical examinations) to reach the diagnosis and thus prescribe the prognosis and treatment of the diseases that may affect the animals. This practical class helped the students to have a better understanding of the techniques that provide a better quality and safety action with animals.
