Unusual Site of Metastasis of Placental Site Trophoblastic Tumor: Case Report and Literature Review

【 摘 要 】

Placental site trophoblastic tumor is a subtype of gestational trophoblastic neoplasmwith unpredictable clinical behavior. Cytoreductive surgery is the cornerstone oftreatment. The aim of this article is to present a case with an unusual site of metastasesof placental site trophoblastic tumor. A 35-year-old woman was referred to the academiccenter of GTN as a persistent case gestational trophoblastic neoplasm for standardtreatment. Based on pancreatic metastases in the patient’s work-up, she underwentcytoreductive surgery that resulted in significant improvement in her condition. Propersurgical approach of placental site trophoblastic tumor has a major role in the remissionof this disease.
