The impact of scientific research, between challenging predictions and unexpected consequences We highlight, with the support of a couple of scientific stories, the difficulty of forecasting the impact of scientific research when you are struggling with writing a scientific project. However, sooner or later applications and positive impacts might come by themselves, if high-quality projects and scientists are appointed.
