【 摘 要 】
This paper addresses the design of the proportional–integral–derivative plus filter controller for the integrating process in the parallel control structure (PCS). In PCS, the servo and regulatory responses are decoupled to give more flexibility in tuning the servo and regulatory controllers, independently. In this article, the controllers of PCS are tuned based on direct synthesis approach and frequency response matching to achieve better setpoint tracking and load disturbance rejection. This methodology is simple, directly applicable to the higher-order process and yields the better closed-loop response. Simulations have been conducted on integrating processes with or without inverse response characteristic to show the improvements in servo as well as in regulatory response.
