【 摘 要 】
In recent times, superparamagnetic nanoparticles (SPMNPs) are of tremendous interest due to its physical and chemical properties. To apply SPMNPs for biological applications, SPMNPs are surface functionalised with biocompatible and water-dispersible shell. However, most of the surface functionalisation are limited in its stability and durability. This work elaborates innovative approach for surface functionalisation of SPMNPs with gold NPs (AuNPs). Using this methodology, amino end-group phospholipid functionalised SPMNPs (SPMNP 2.0) are coupled with AuNPs as an alternative strategy to retain highly biocompatible NPs. As a future perspective, gold functionalised SPMNP 2.0 could be used for protein or peptide bioconjugation, magnetic cell separation and subcellular fractionation.
