【 摘 要 】
High tibial osteotomy (HTO) is typically used to treat early isolated medial tibiofemoral compartment osteoarthritis in younger, and physically active, patients for whom knee arthroplasty is associated with higher revision rates.1,2 The strong relationship between varus malalignment and knee osteoarthritis (gonarthrosis) indicates that if performed early enough, HTO also has the potential to delay, or even possibly prevent, development of end-stage disease.
