Here, we give a short biography and summary of scientific contributions of Aleksandar Kubiˇcela, a doyen of astronomy in Serbia, and an astrophysical research pioneer at the Astronomical Observatory of Belgrade. Additionally, we evoke some of our memories concerning scientific collaboration with Aleksandar Kubiˇcela.
