【 摘 要 】
Background:Variousfactors,includinggenetic,psychological,environmental,andimmunedysfunction,maycontributetosusceptibilitytoschizophrenia.Duetoseveralreportsregardingabnormalcytokineproduction,abnormalcytokineconcentrationsandtheirreceptorsinperipheralbloodandcerebrospinalfluid,activationoftheinflammatoryresponsesystem,andalteredlevelsofdifferentcytokinesinacuteschizophreniahavebeenstudiedinrecentyears.Objectives:Thepurposeofthisstudywastoexamineinterleukin-6(IL-6)andIL-23levelsinschizophrenicpatientsversusthoseofhealthycontrols.PatientsandMethods:Inthiscase–controlstudy,serumlevelsofIL-6andIL-23of30schizophrenicpatientsand20age-andgender-matchedhealthycontrolsweremeasuredusinganenzyme-linkedimmunosorbentassay(ELISA).Theserumlevelsofthesecytokinesweremeasuredinschizophrenicpatientsexperiencingtheirfirstepisodewhohadnottakenanypsychoticdrugsforatleast2monthspriortothestudy.StatisticalanalysiswasperformedusingSPSSsoftware,version17.ILlevelsshowedanon-Gaussiandistribution.Thestatisticalanalysiswasperformedusingappropriatestatisticaltests,includingtheKruskal-WallisorMann–Whitneytest.Results:SerumIL-23levelsofschizophrenicpatientsweresignificantlyhigher(696±132pg/mL)thanthoseofthecontrolsubjects(313±33pg/mL)(P=0.007).SerumIL-6levelsoftheschizophrenicpatientswerealsosignificantlyhigherthanthoseofthecontrols(5.28±1.1and2.54±0.32pg/mL,respectively;P=0.01).Conclusions:Thesefindingsindicatethatimmunesystemactivationmightbeinvolvedinthepathophysiologyofschizophrenia.
