【 摘 要 】
Biofilmsarestructuredcommunitiesofbacteria,whichareadheredtoasurfaceandembeddedinaself-producedmatrixofextracellularpolymericsubstances.Sincebiofilmsareresistanttoantimicrobialagents,theyareatthebasisofhealthproblems.Propolishasattractedincreasedinterestduetoitsantimicrobialactivityagainstpathogenicmicroorganisms.WeinvestigatedtheantibiofilmpotenciesofTurkishethanolextractpropolis(EEP)againstsomebacteria(ListeriamonocytogenesATCC7644,StaphylococcusaureusATCC29213,S.aureusATCC33862,MRSA-20(clinicalisolate),PseudomonasfluorescensATCC55241,MicrococcusluteusNRRL-B1013,EnterococcusfaecalisATCC19433)knowntoformbiofilms.Firstly,theantibacterialactivityofEEPfromManisa-Salihli(P4)andIzmir-Foça(P10)collectedin2013wasevaluatedaccordingtoAgarWellDiffusionmethod.Secondly,wetestedwithamicroplatebiofilmsassayboththeeffectofantibiofilmandinhibitionofbiofilmsofEEP.TheEEPsamplesexhibitedgoodantibiofilmactivityagainstbacteria.ThemaximumantibiofilmactivitypercentageofP4rangedfrom85%forL.monocytogenesto68%forS.aureusATCC29213.Also,theactivitypercentageofP10rangedfrom79%forL.monocytogenesto48%forMRSA20.Inaddition,weshowedthatEEPsampleswereveryeffectiveontestedbacteriabiofilms(upto50%biofilmsinhibitionpercentage).
