【 摘 要 】

Theaimofthisstudywastoevaluatetheantibacterialactivitysuchastime-killstudyofthebutanolextractfromUrticadioicaagainstmethicillin-resistantStaphylococcusaureus(MRSA)usingstandardmicrobiologicalprocedures.TheeffectsofthebutanolextractonMRSAcellswasalsostudiedbymeansofscanningelectronmicroscope(SEM)andtheresultsshowedthatthebutanolextractcausedinternalshrinkageofthecellsandcompletelycollapsedthecellsafterprolongedexposuretoit.MinimumInhibitoryConcentration(MIC)valuewas16.67mg/mL.Theaveragelogreductioninviablecellcountintime-killassaywas>4.5log10CFU/mLusing33.33mg/mL(2MIC)for48h.TheextractwasbactericidalagainstMRSAat2MICfrom44hinteractionperiod.However,thetime-killedassaysuggestedthatthebutanolextractofU.dioicasignificantlyinhibitedthecellgrowthandpossessedbactericidalactivityatconcentration.
