【 摘 要 】

Transforminggrowthfactor-beta1(TGF-#946;1)isaninflammation-relatedcytokine.Itsexpressioninthebrainincreasesunderconditionsofneurodegenerativediseasesandinjury.PreviousstudieshaveshownthatgenomicalterationsofTGF-#946;1expressioninthebraincauseneurodegenerativechangesinagedmice.ThepresentstudyrevealedthatincreasedproductionofTGF-#946;1intransgenicmiceresultedingliosisatyoungages.Inaddition,theincreasedTGF-#946;1augmentedtheexpressionofsomekeysubunitsof#945;-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazoleproprionicacid(AMPA)andN-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA)receptorsinthehippocampus.TreatmentofculturedhippocampalneuronswithTGF-#946;1facilitatedneuriteoutgrowthandenhancedglutamate-evokedcurrents.Together,thesedatasuggestthatincreasedTGF-#946;1altersionotropicglutamatereceptorexpressionandfunctioninthehippocampus.(IJPPP1008005).
