【 摘 要 】

TheLateCretaceouscoralfamilyFelixaraeidae(suborderFungiina)isrevisedonthebasisofitstypegenusandrespectivetypespecies.Thefamilyencompassessolitaryandcolonialformswithverystrongandperforatedradialelementswithasubregularradialsymmetry.Radialelementsarecomposedoflargetrabeculaeexpressedinastronglyornamentedupperseptalmarginandseptallateralface.Synapticulaearepresent.Togetherwiththename-givinggenusFelixaraeaBeauvais,1982,theTethyancoralgeneraBrachycauliaBeauvais,1982,PseudofaviaOppenheim,1930,andThecoseriopsisAlloiteau,1957,aswellastheWesternAtlanticgeneraFilkorniaLöser,2012,ParacycloserisWells,1934,andTrechmannariaWells,1935,areassignedtothefamily.ThenewgenusMarcelohelian.gen.fromtheMaastrichtianofMexicoisestablished.Itdiffersfromallknownmemberofthefamilybyitsphaceloidgrowthform.Allgeneraarerevisedonthebasisofthetypesoftheirrespectivetypespecies.Possiblespeciesofallgeneraarepresented.Thepalaeobiogeographyofthegeneraisdiscussed.ThefamilyoccursfromtheTuroniantoMaastrichtianor,possible,Danian.
