【 摘 要 】
TheCretaceouscoralfamilyAsteroseriidae(suborderFungiina)isrevisedonthebasisofitstypegenusandrespectivetypespecies.Thefamilyencompassessmallsolitarypatellatecoralswithcompactseptainaregularhexameralsymmetry.Septaaremadeoflargetrabeculaeexpressedinaregularlyornamentedupperseptalmarginandseptallateralface.Synapticulaearepresent.Inadditiontothename-givinggenusAsteroserisdeFromentel,1867,thegeneraActinoserisd'Orbigny,1849andMicroserisdeFromentel,1867,fromtheCretaceousofFranceareassignedtothefamily.Allgeneraarerevisedonthebasisofthetypesoftheirrespectivetypespecies,asfarasavailable.Possiblespeciesofallthreegeneraarepresented.ThefamilyrangesfromHauteriviantoCenomanianoftheTethys.
