【 摘 要 】

Newbornneuronsmigrateextensivelyintheradialandtangentialdirectionstoorganizethedevelopingvertebratenervoussystem.Weshowherethatmutationsinzebrafishtrilobite(tri)thataffectgastrulation-associatedcellmovementsalsoeliminatetangentialmigrationofmotorneuronsinthehindbrain.Inthewild-typehindbrain,facial(nVII)andglossopharyngeal(nIX)motorneuronsareinducedinrhombomeres4and6,respectively,andmigratetangentiallyintor6andr7(nVII)andr7(nIX).Inallthreetriallelesexamined,althoughnormalnumbersofmotorneuronsareinduced,nVIImotorneuronsarefoundexclusivelyinr4,andnIX-likemotorneuronsarefoundexclusivelyinr6.Themigrationofotherneuronalandnonneuronalcelltypesisunaffectedintrimutants.Rhombomereformationandthedevelopmentofotherhindbrainneuronsarealsounaffectedintrimutants.Furthermore,tangentialneuronalmigrationoccursnormallyinthegastrulationmutantknypek,indicatingthatthetrilobiteneuronphenotypedoesnotarisenonspecificallyfromaberrantgastrulation-associatedmovements.Weconcludethattrilobitefunctionisspecificallyrequiredfortwotypesofcellmigrationthatoccuratdifferentstagesofzebrafishdevelopment.
