【 摘 要 】
RecentdataonthedevelopmentofthemammalianneocortexsupportthatthemajorityofitsinhibitoryGABAergicinterneuronsoriginatewithinthesubpallium(ganglioniceminences).Supportforsuchtangentialmigrationintothepalliumhascomefromexperimentsusingfluorescenttracersorlineageanalysiswithretrovirus,andthephenotypesofmutantmicewithdifferentabnormalitiesinthedevelopingsubpallium.Inthepresentstudy,wedescribetangentialmigrationofsubpallial-derivedneuronsinthedevelopingchicktelencephalon.Usingquail–chickgrafts,wepreciselyidentifiedtheneuroepithelialorigin,time-course,andpathwaysofmigration,aswellastheidentityandrelativedistributionofthediversetangentiallymigratedneurons.Theanalysisofselectivegraftsofthepallidalandstriatalprimordiaallowedustodeterminetherelativecontributionofeachprimordiumtothepopulationofmigratingneurons.Moreover,wefoundthat,likeinmammals,thevastmajorityoftheGABAergicandcalbindin-immunoreactiveneuronswithinthepallium(dorsalventricularridgeandcorticalareas)haveanextracortical,subpallialorigin.Ourresultssuggestthatthetelencephalonofbirdsandmammalssharedevelopmentalmechanismsfortheoriginandmigrationoftheircorticalinterneurons,whichprobablyfirstevolvedatanearlierstageintheradiationofvertebratesthanwasthoughtbefore.
