【 摘 要 】

TheBTB/POZdomainisanevolutionarilyconservedprotein–proteininteractiondomainpresentintheN-terminalregionofnumeroustranscriptionfactorsinvolvedindevelopment,chromatinremodeling,andhumancancers.ThisdomainisinvolvedinhomomericandheteromericassociationswithotherBTB/POZdomains.TheDrosophilaBTB/POZproteinsBricàbrac1(BAB1)andBricàbrac2(BAB2)aredevelopmentallyregulatedtranscriptionfactorswhichareinvolvedinpatternformationalongtheproximo-distalaxisofthelegandantenna,inthemorphogenesisoftheadultovaries,andinthecontrolofsexuallydimorphiccharacters.WehaveidentifiedpartnersoftheBAB1proteinbyusingthetwo-hybridsystem.Thecharacterizationofoneoftheseproteins,calledBIP2forBABInteractingProtein2,ispresented.BIP2isanovelDrosophilaTATA-boxProteinAssociatedFactor(TAFII),alsonameddTAFII155.WeshowthattheBTB/POZdomainsofBAB1andBAB2aresufficienttomediateadirectinteractionwithBIP2/dTAFII155.ThisprovidesadirectlinkbetweentheseBTB/POZtranscriptionfactorsandthebasaltranscriptionalmachinery.WediscusstheimplicationsoftheinteractionbetweenaBTB/POZdomainandaTAFIIforthemolecularmechanismsoftranscriptionalcontrolmediatedbyBTB/POZtranscriptionfactors.
