Nucleotidesequencesofthirty-sevenRNAcodonsrecognizedbyaminoacyl-transferRNAfromamphibianembryosweredeterminedandwerecomparedwithcodonsrecognizedbytransferRNAfromadultXenopusliverandfromEscherichiacoli.ThecorrespondencebetweenRNAcodonsandaminoacids,determinedwithaminoacyl-tRNAfromembryosandadults,doesnotdiffergrosslyforthetwelveaminoacidsexamined.However,bothXenopusembryoandadultaminoacyl-tRNAdifferfromE.coliaminoacyl-tRNAinrelativeresponsetocertainsynonymtrinucleotides.
