【 摘 要 】
TheSandMartinRipariaripariaisatrans-Saharanmigrantspecies,whosepopulationsaredecliningthroughoutEurope.WepresenttheresultsofamultipleyearstudyonabreedingpopulationofSandMartinsalongtheRiverPoinNorthernItalythroughringingbreedingbirdsatnestingcolonies(2002–2014).Therewasatrendfortheabundanceofthestudiedpopulationtofluctuate.Recapturedatawereanalysedtoobtainapparentsurvivalprobabilitieswhichdifferedbetweenthesexes,butnotbetweenyears.Noapparentrelationshipwasfoundbetweensurvivalandthreedifferentmeteo-climaticindices(NorthAtlanticOscillation,SahelrainfallandLakeChadrainfall).Duringthe1980sand1990s,wintersurvivalwaspositivelycorrelatedwithrainfallinthewinterquarters.Althoughrainfallinthewinterquartershasbeenmorestableduringthepast15years,SandMartinpopulationsarestilldecreasing.Ourfindingssuggestthattherelationshipwithrainfallnolongerholds,andthatcurrentpopulationdeclinesmaybeunrelatedtoclimateinthewinterquarters.
