【 摘 要 】
The close coupling ð‘…-matrix method is used to calculate cross-sections for photoionization of Mg III from its ï¬rst three excited states. Conï¬guration interaction wave functions are used to represent two target states of Mg III retained in the ð‘…-matrix expansion. The positions and effective quantum numbers for the Rydberg series converging to the excited state 2ð‘ 22ð‘62ð‘†ð‘’ of the residual ion, are predicted.
