【 摘 要 】
ABSTRACT: We describe a case of giant cell arteritis (GCA) of the female genital tract. Fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (18F-FDG PET) and CT-scan showed evidence of large-vessel vasculitis involving the thoracic aorta and its branches, while temporal artery biopsy showed arteritis despite the absence of clinical manifestations suggestive of GCA. We review the literature and discuss the relationship between `cranial` GCA, large-vessel GCA and female genital GCA.
