【 摘 要 】
By using an NADH-regenerating system, different steady states were obtained in which the electron flux through each respiratory unit was modulated. Under these conditions it was observed that, at constant ΔH+, the ATP/O value decreased with increasing electron flux. This flux-yield dependence can be regarded as evidence in support of indirect coupling at the proton pump level.
