【 摘 要 】

In this study, energy and exergy analysis is applied for a ceiling type air conditioning (CTAC) system operating with various refrigerants. Firstly, hourly cooling load capacities of a sample building are determined for the months of April, May, June, July, August and September. The cooling load capacity determined using the Hourly Analysis Program (HAP). Then, coefficient of performance (COP), exergy efficiency and exergy destruction values of whole system and its each component are obtained. Results indicate that, the exergy destructions in the compressor, condenser and capillary tube decrease when R600a is used in CTAC system instead of R404A but the value of exergy destruction in the evaporator does not chance too much. When refrigerant is changed from R404A to R600a; it is calculated that power consumption and exergy destruction ratio of the air conditioning system are decreased by 13.0% and 20.2%, respectively, but exergy efficiency value is increased by 13.9%.
