【 摘 要 】

This work aims to present the context of evolution of the Institute of Prior Informed Consent of the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) for applications for product patents and pharmaceutical processes, from its creation in 1999, the negotiations that resulted in the publication of a new Collegiate Board Resolution Agency (DRC) in 2013, showing the importance of the institute in ensuring the quality of these applications, especially with the focus on public health.
