【 摘 要 】

The article discusses the organisation of the public libraries in Gdańsk. We describe the network of library institutions and the solutions used to enrich the services and improve the efficiency of work, as well as the management system. We present the most interesting branches of the Regional and Public Library in Gdańsk, characterised by unique expertise. The aim of the article is to indicate recommended good practice, including interior design and promotion strategy. The articles is the res ult of the study visit made within the framework of the Biblioskan project.
