【 摘 要 】

The article discusses the term and the principal players of GLAM. The narrow understanding of the acronym (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) is not appropriate in the light of broader global use of this term. The article presents a thesis, according to which GLAM is an idea and a social movement proposing an open and electronic access to the products of human culture. The institutions and organizations that take part in GLAM and also create it are reviewed in the article.
