【 摘 要 】

The role of work-family enrichment in the relationshipsbetween workplace support factors and employee attitudes at work has not beengiven much attention. This paper aims to examine whether work-family enrichmentmediates the relationships between workplace social support, namely supervisorsupport and co-worker support and job satisfaction. Self-administeredquestionnaires were employed to collect data from 280 teachers working inMalaysian public secondary schools. The data were analyzed using structuralequation modelling analyses. Work-family enrichment correlates significantlywith supervisor support, co-worker support and job satisfaction. Work-familyenrichment functions as a mediator in the relationships between the supportfactors and job satisfaction. The results indicate that workplace socialsupport enhances work-family enrichment, whereby the skills, knowledge, valuesand confidence gained at work benefit the family and this enrichment bringsabout greater job satisfaction. The results underscore the significant role ofwork-family enrichment in improving job satisfaction.
