【 摘 要 】

In the present text, we bring the discussion on the potential of cinema at school and in teachers’ training. Seen in its aesthetic dimension, the cinematographic language is an experience of art in the educational space, amplified in the conception that the cinema enters education as creation, as production. From this perspective, we report an experience carried out in the context of teachers’ initial education in the daytime Pedagogy Major at Federal University of Santa Maria, where the proposal is the development of observation and recording of the daily life of the city and school as spaces of unlearning and learning other ways of feeling and living. Learning cinematographic grammar came along with another challenge – documenting the occupation movements of public schools and the university space.
