【 摘 要 】

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of problembased learning (PBL) in teaching of nursing practice of intravenous infusion therapy. Methods A total of 55 nursing interns of 2012 academic year were selected as the control group, with traditional teaching methods on intravenous infusion therapy. Another 68 nursing interns were recruited as the study group, with PBL in practice of intravenous infusion therapy. To evaluate the teaching effect with the grades of nurse practice, students satisfaction on teaching methods at the end of internship. Results The Excellent rates of theoretical knowledge and operation was higher in the study group than that of control group (73.5% vs 50.9%, P<0.05). Nursing interns in the study group had a higher qualified rate in choose of infusion device, higher success rate of puncturing, higher acute rate of tube sealing and lower incidence of complication compared with those in the control group (P<0.01). Nursing interns in the study group were more satisfied with teaching methods they received compared with the control group with significant difference(P<0.01) . Conclusion PBL can improve nursing students’ theoretical knowledge and operation grade in practice of intravenous infusion therapy. It is effective to encourage students to think actively, as well as improving the teaching quality.
