【 摘 要 】
Motivated by recent experiments on ultracold atoms trapped in optical lattices, we investigate the mass imbalance effects on the Kane-Mele-Hubbard model. Using the variational cluster approach, we show that the mass imbalance introduces the spin anisotropy in the magnetic structure and induces the topological phase transition between the topological phases with helical edge state and chiral edge state. We also show that the intermediate state with coexistence of magnetic and topological phases can be realized as the integer quantum Hall effect.
