【 摘 要 】

The current theory of failure is connected with the stress intensity factors at angular points. All known solutions with the infinite stresses at some points are the elasticity problem solutions according to their authors. The analysis of such solutions shows that though these are the fundamental solutions of the elasticity theory, the use of them to model subproblems of the elastic theory is unpromising.
