【 摘 要 】
The Grain for Green Project (GGP) has been implemented for 17 years, promoted the regional environment significantly, but the impact on local food production is still an issue worth studying. This paper analysed the temporal and spatial variations of grain production in the Loess Plateau of China, using county-level statistics from 2000 to 2012. The results showed that the total grain yield and the unit area grain yield was continuously improved while the grain planting area was declined, which showed that ecological construction does not affect grain production. Besides, the regional differentiation of grain production efficiency in the Loess Plateau was decreasing.
