【 摘 要 】
This paper shows the dependency of cavitation nuclei and the resulting cavitation, illustrating the lifetime of a bubble from its birth to death. Micro bubbles which are periodically detaching from surface nuclei contribute to the formation of a sheet. After reaching a critical length, which depends on the nucleation rate, the sheet is peeled of by a viscous spreading film. The detached sheet forms a cloud in the shape of a horseshoe with a circulation depending on the sheet length and, consequently, the nucleation rate. Finally, the cloud collapses with an intensity depending on the circulation.
