【 摘 要 】

Water hammer control for new and refurbished hydropower plants in Slovenia is the main topic of the proceeding paper. General design approaches and water hammer control strategies are presented. A general outline of topographical and hydrological conditions that govern the construction of hydropower schemes in Slovenia is also included. Presented case studies cover the last two decades of hydropower plant development in Slovenia.
