【 摘 要 】

Considerable studies have investigated the environmental occurrence of phthalate esters. More and more evidences have proved that the primary metabolites of phthalate esters - - phthalate monoesters, have adverse effects on organisms including human beings. The present review summarizes the current knowledge on the environmental occurrence in the environment of phthalate monoesters. There are large knowledge gaps of MPEs in environmental occurrence. So more researches on MPEs need to be conducted in future.
