Tears and false neighborhoods are the defaults that may occur when a mapping is set up. Three recent articles discuss about these risks and proposedvarious means to detect and avoid such penalizing situations. In the presentpaper we link these methods and suggest a new strategy to visualize tears andfalse neighborhoods on a mapping by adapting welltried tools.
