Organizational Ethical Self-Interest Climate (OESIC), a type of Organizational Ethical Climate (OEC) that exists widely in various organizations, plays an important role in unethical behaviours. Unfortunately, there is still little in-depth research on the effect of OESIC on Unethical Accounting Behaviour (UAB) and its related mechanism. This paper aims to explore the impact of OESIC on UAB with two different motivations i.e., Unethical Pro-Self Accounting Behaviour (UPSAB) and Unethical Pro-Organizational Accounting Behaviour (UPOAB). In addition, this paper studies the moderating effect of Confucian ShiZhong Thinking (CSZ Thinking), a typical characteristic of the Chinese people. In this paper, questionnaire data from 258 Chinese accountants at different professional levels were collected. A regression model was used to analyse and test the collected data. The results indicate that OESIC is positively correlated with UAB, and the effect of OESIC on UPSAB is more significant than the effect on UPOAB. CSZ Thinking weakens the positive impact of OESIC on UPSAB and UPOAB. This paper expands the research scope of OESIC into the accounting field and the Chinese context, which is helpful to better understand the relationship among OESIC, UAB and Confucian ShiZhong Thinking. This paper can enlighten organizational managers to consider the role of informal management control systems in restraining UAB and to pay attention to the two types of UAB with different motivations, especially UPOAB.

BackgroundCurrent research is focused on the factors that influence the maintenance of limb function after total femoral replacement. This retrospective study investigated the difference in functional outcomes in patients with invasion of the rectus femoris vs. an intact rectus femoris that underwent total femoral replacement with a modular total femur prosthesis.MethodsThe medical records of patients who underwent total femoral replacement with a modular total femur prosthesis between July 2010 and March 2017 at our institute were retrospectively reviewed. The patients were divided into two groups: group A had invasion of the rectus femoris and group B had an intact rectus femoris. Functional status was assessed using the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society Rating Scale (MSTS) and the Harris Hip Score (HHS). Complications were assessed using the International Society of Limb Salvage classification that was published in 2011 and modified in 2014.ResultsThe mean total MSTS score (23.0 ± 4.8 vs. 17.6 ± 3.1; P = 0.02) and the mean total HHS score (80.17 ± 6.24 vs. 55.38 ± 13.30; P = 0.001) were significantly higher in patients with intact rectus femoris compared with patients with invasion of the rectus femoris. Patients with an intact rectus femoris achieved significantly better limb function (support and gait) and active range of motion (P < 0.05). The overall complication rate was 35.7%.ConclusionsFunctional outcomes after total femoral replacement were significantly better in patients with an intact rectus femoris compared with patients with invasion of the rectus femoris, possibly because more muscle mass can be preserved around the femur in patients with an intact rectus femoris.

In this study, the green development of marine economy driven by marine scientific and technological innovation is empirically studied and the influencing factors are analyzed. The results show that the development of marine science and technology is significantly positively correlated with the green development of marine economy as a whole, and each input variable has a promoting effect on economic development, but with varied degree of effect. The analysis on the growth models of “Circum-Bohai Sea Economic Zone,” “Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone” and “Pearl River Delta Economic Zone” shows that at present, science and technology in each marine economic zone play an obvious role in promoting economic development, and each input variable plays a different role in promoting the green development of regional marine economy. With the help of threshold panel model, the influences of five factors, namely opening to the outside world, government investment, financial development, human capital and technology investment, on the green development of marine economy driven by marine scientific and technological innovation are investigated, and it is concluded that all kinds of external influencing factors will interfere with the role of marine scientific and technological innovation and achieve the effect of promoting or restricting it.

While overweight/obesity has become a major public health issue worldwide, any association between body mass index (BMI) and therapeutic response in neoadjuvant targeted therapy treated HER2 positive breast cancer patients remain unclear. The information from a total of four-hundred and ninety-one neoadjuvant targeted therapy treated HER2 positive breast cancer patients from four institutions were retrospectively collected. Univariate and multivariate logistic analysis was developed to determine the association between BMI and therapeutic response. A meta-analysis of published literature was then conducted to confirm the effect of overweight/obesity on pCR for patients treated with neoadjuvant targeted therapy. Restricted cubic spline (RCS) adjusted for confounding factors demonstrated a decrease pCR with increasing BMI (OR = 0.937, P = 0.045). Patients were then categorized into under/normal weight (n = 299) and overweight/obesity (n = 192). Overweight/obese patients were independently associated with a poor therapeutic response. In the subgroup analysis, a significant negative impact of overweight/obesity on pCR can be observed both in single-targeted (OR = 0.556; P = 0.02) and dual-targeted (OR = 0.392; P = 0.021) populations. Six eligible studies involving 984 neoadjuvant targeted therapy treated HER2 positive breast cancer patients were included in the meta-analysis. The meta-analysis also demonstrated that overweight/obesity was significantly associated with a poor response to neoadjuvant anti-HER2 therapy (OR = 0.68; P = 0.007). Our result show that overweight and obese HER2 positive breast cancer patients are less likely to achieve pCR after neoadjuvant targeted therapy.

For a graph $ G $, the Sombor index $ SO(G) $ of $ G $ is defined as$ SO(G) = \sum\limits_{uv\in E(G)}\sqrt{d_{G}(u)^{2}+d_{G}(v)^{2}}, $where $ d_{G}(u) $ is the degree of the vertex $ u $ in $ G $. A cactus is a connected graph in which each block is either an edge or a cycle. Let $ \mathcal{G}(n, k) $ be the set of cacti of order $ n $ and with $ k $ cycles. Obviously, $ \mathcal{G}(n, 0) $ is the set of all trees and $ \mathcal{G}(n, 1) $ is the set of all unicyclic graphs, then the cacti of order $ n $ and with $ k(k\geq 2) $ cycles is a generalization of cycle number $ k $. In this paper, we establish a sharp upper bound for the Sombor index of a cactus in $ \mathcal{G}(n, k) $ and characterize the corresponding extremal graphs. In addition, for the case when $ n\geq 6k-3 $, we give a sharp lower bound for the Sombor index of a cactus in $ \mathcal{G}(n, k) $ and characterize the corresponding extremal graphs as well. We also propose a conjecture about the minimum value of sombor index among $ \mathcal{G}(n, k) $ when $ n \geq 3k $.
