Abstract
Thin layer chromatography was performed to identify the potent phytomarkers such as gallic acid, lawsone and p-coumaric acid in petroleum ether extract of W.volubilis. In vitro antioxidant properties of petroleum ether extract of Wattakaka volubilis (W.volubilis) were evaluated through DPPH, nitric oxide, hydrogen peroxide and hydroxyl radical scavenging. α-amylase and α-glucosidase inhibitory potential of petroleum ether extract of W.volubilis were evaluated through in vitro assay methods, agarose was used as a standard. Insilico computational molecular docking was performed on the phytomarkers with insulin, α-amylase and α-glucosidase pdb proteins by using the program AutoDock 4.
