The 14th International Conference on Science, Engineering the Technology 14th (ICSET2017) was organised by School of Advanced Sciences, VIT University, Vellore, India during 2-3, May, 2017. The objective of the conference is to support and encourage young researchers.

We are glad to bring out the presented papers of the conference as an IOP conference proceedings publication and it is a compilation of presented, reviewed and accepted papers It is divided into five domains viz. Physical, Biological and Chemical Sciences, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical and Structural Engineering, Computations and Information Technology.

We are thankful to all the authors for their participation in the conference. We acknowledge the members of the organising committee. The reviewers are particularly acknowledged for their support in peer review of the papers. We appreciate the School nodal persons for their valuable inputs and continuous efforts in bringing out the conference proceedings. We gratefully acknowledge the Higher Authorities and Management for their kind support and encouragement.

We are sure that 14th ICSET 2017, would serve as an ideal platform for young researchers and Master students, industrial practitioners, to share their ideas and to be updated in their field of research.

All papers published in this volume of IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering have been peer reviewed through processes administered by the proceedings Editors.
