【 摘 要 】

The experiments on diffusion rate of ammonia and hydrogen chloride gases in middle school and high school science text books have troubles for lack of enough and proper information on experiment equipments or processes as well as issues of safety with respect of school lab environment. This study studies gas’s diffusion experiment equipment in terms of these simplicity, safety, and reproducibility in the diffusion experiment with NH3(aq) and HCl(aq) in a long tube. Experimental conditions including tube;;s length and diameter, cotton stopper;;s thickness, partial pressure of each gas on the concentration of NH3(aq) and HCl(aq), and reagent injection time interval at both ends of a tube are studied to get optimal experiment condition. This study will help teachers and students to observe scientific phenomenon objectively and to reduce experiment’s trial and error under safe environment at school.
