【 摘 要 】

With the rapid growth of catheter-based interventional cardiology procedures, knowledge of the vasculature surrounding the heart relative to the distribution of scar tissue can provide important information for procedural planning and appropriate patient selection. We developed an MR sequence that would acquire inherently co-registered angiography and scar images by Sharing K-space (SharK) and created image processing methods for a combined display. The SharK sequence was validated by comparing its performance against its respective gold standards for angiographic and scar imaging. The SharK sequence was applied in patients with previous myocardial infarction to create a combined coronary vein and scar display that could be used for pre-procedural planning in patients undergoing Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy. The SharK sequence was also applied in patients post-Pulmonary Vein Isolation to quantify the amount of scar encircling the pulmonary veins by developing a pulmonary vein bullseye. The pulmonary vein bullseyes can be used to improve the ablation process or guide repeat ablations.
