【 摘 要 】

The atmospheric CO2 concentration has increased throughout the past century and has been linked to global climate change. As a temporary solution it has been proposed to capture CO2 from either the flue gas point source or from the atmosphere and sequester it underground. Supported amine sorbents are promising candidate materials for these applications. However, the rational design of these types of sorbents remains challenging because it is not well understood how CO2 interacts with the sorbent on the molecular level. The work in this thesis aims to better understand the fundamental interactions between solid supported amine materials and CO2.
