【 摘 要 】

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether a training program was effective on a student supervisor's self-confidence in necessary job related skills. The student supervisors who participated in this study were employees at the NC State University's Carmichael Gym.The foci of the training program were emergency procedures, conflict management and leadership skills. It was hypothesized that the training program would have a positive effect, such that the student supervisor's self-confidence would increase.Data was collected through a pre and post-test survey. The training program consisted of one-day leadership training, conflict discussions, leadership surveys and discussions, and randomized emergency procedure drills. The data was analyzed with a student t test, Wilcoxin ranked sign test, and through graphical analysis. The analysis showed a clear positive outcome in emergency procedures.Conflict management and leadership skills showed a decrease in scores, though not enough for it to be statistically significant.Future programs should focus on one section, such as emergency procedures, and emphasize the importance of it.
