Three main theorems due to Fenichel are fundamental tools in the explorationof geometric singular perturbation theory. This expository paper attemptsto provide an introduction to the concepts stated in Fenichel's theorems and provideillustrative examples. The goal is to provide enough insight to gain a basicunderstanding of the usefullness of these theorems.
