【 摘 要 】

European policy regarding sewage sludge disposal lays down (i) that the disposal option chosen should entail the least possible cost to the community whilst at the same time safeguarding public health, and (ii) that it should limit environmental damage and recognise the value of sludge as a resource. Disposal of sludge on agricultural land appears to be the obvious choice. Not only is this method economical but at the same time makes full use of its fertiliser value. Given that proper guidelines are followed.
