【 摘 要 】

This written thesis investigates the personal and theoretical themes behind home/body, MollyValentine Dierks’ thesis exhibition, which deals with gender as a construct. Themes addressed anddiscussed are the role of the continuum (versus dualistic thinking) in feminist theory, the motherfigure, women’s bodies (as I have experienced my own and as they have been discussed in feministtheory), the double bind, and the abject.
