【 摘 要 】
In this thesis, we define and study Turing characteristics.These are sets of oracles of computation which compute members of Cantor space or Baire space which have certain combinatorial properties related to cardinal characteristics of the continuum appearing in Cichon;;s diagram.Relationships among Turing characteristics and relationships among cardinal characteristics reflect each other for the most part.In particular, in many cases, a modification of a set-theoretic proof of a relationship between cardinal charcateristics establishes the corresponding relationship for the associated Turing characteristics.
